Geoff & Heather Gartside have been filming wildlife since 1986, not only in the UK but also in locations such as Alaska, Equador, Eithiopia,Belize and India.

During this time we have filmed both entire programmes and sequences for several prestigious series including BBC Bristol's The Natural World, Wildlife on One and Living Dangerously and also Anglia Television's Survival strand.

Amongst other credits are contributions to the ground breaking Private Life of Plants and Life of Birds, also The Land of the Tiger, Battle of the Sexes, The Velvet Claw, Nightmares of Nature and Winners & Losers together with others for broadcasters such as National Geographic , BBC Wales and LWT.

The Wildlife on One "Stoats in the Priory" not only won Geoff an award at the International Wldlife Film Festival in Missoula, Montana but was also chosen by David Attenborough as being one of his top five of all time in that long running series

Mike Salisbury was a Producer at the BBC Natural History Unit for over thirty years. He started working with Sir David Attenborough on Life on Earth and since then has produced numerous programmes for such series as
Wildlife on One and The Natural World. These include the award winners "Through Animal Eyes" and "Kingdom of the Ice Bear" a three part series about Arctic wildlife and conservation.

In recent years Mike has been the Executive Producer of most of David Attenborough's landmark series such as The Private Life of Plants, The Life of Birds, The Life of Mammals and most recently Life in the Undergrowth,
which won the Golden Panda Award at Wildscreen 2006.

Also at Wildscreen 2006 Mike was given the Chris Parsons Outstanding Achievement Award and at the Grierson British Documentary Awards 2006 the Trustees Award for contributions to the art and craft of the documentary.

Welcome to meet Ibex

Ibex Films was set up in 1999 to produce cost effective independent video productions.

Working from our base in North Wales, close to the breathtaking beauty of the Snowdonia National Park, we really do have the natural world on our doorstep.

Over twenty years in natural history film making means that we have a great depth of knowledge and experience and can use this to produce films that show wildlife and the natural world as it really is.

And now it looks even better because in stunning HIGH DEFINITION you really do SEE EVERY FEATHER... EVERY WHISKER... EVERY LEAF...

During the making of the broadcast production MASKED RAIDERS
The Polecat Story
, Ibex Films was very pleased to welcome aboard Mike Salisbury as associate producer.
Mike is one of the most experienced natural history producers in the world and, as always, working with him was not only a great privilege but also a great pleasure.
