The Otter’s Realm film is for people who want to know more about fresh water - not just ecologists and conservationists but anglers, birdwatchers, mammal watchers and those of us that simply like messing about around it. It will tell about the amazing properties of water and the creatures that live, feed and breed in it, look at what happens when we have too little or too much and perhaps show how we can all help those people who desperately need clean water
We’ll be letting you know how we are getting on with the filming, location hunting, good days, bad days and all the in between days that go into making a good wildlife film!
Two lampreys together yesterday evening so take a look a LOVE - lamprey style!
First lamprey seen today in river, only one so far but hopefully a second will arrive soon. For much more info about these parasitic fish go to our ecology page
Discovered a small sand martin colony in a lovely situation over the weekend so will be setting up a remote controlled GoPro camera to avoid undue disturbance.
